Enjoy Authentic Singaporean Cuisine at Miki Snacks

During my vacation at Singapore I discovered a cheaper way to enjoy best authentic Singaporean cuisine at MIKI Snacks. As part of it I will share with you some of their best sellers that will suits your budget. So if you are near at Katong Shopping Centre this is a perfect place to eat for you.

This restaurant is located at 865 Mountbatten Road #B1-127/128 Katong Shopping Centre, Singapore 438844. Katong Shopping Centre is just 16mins away from the main cities of Singapore if you will to take a cab. On the other hand if you will just commute the best way to ride is a bus and an MRT. They open at around 11AM.

Miki Snacks has been in Katong since 1986. It is one of the oldest restaurants in Singapore that offers delicious local Singaporean dishes.

Here are to name some:

Fried Kway Teow

This dish is one of the most wanted dishes in Singapore that you cannot past through. You may be melted with the mixture of flat rice noodles and egg noodles which will be commonly stir-fried with eggs, cockles, lap cheong (Chinese sausages), bean sprouts, and Chinese chives. The price of this one is 13SGD or around 496.52PHP. This will cater four to five people already.

Minced Meat Mee Tai Bak

The price of this one is also 13SGD and as part of it, it can also cater 4-5 people. This one is like a common “pancit” or “palabok” here in the Philippines. This dish tastes so good and even the pasta is perfectly cooked.

Salted Bean Rice Vermicelli

As the same with the other dishes the price of this one is also 13SGD but it can also be shared by 4-5 persons. This noodles with a delicious sauce topped with different kind of seafood is really a must to try. I like that it is a little bit sweet and salty at the same time.

Crispy Rice Vermicelli

In line with the picture above, you can really see that it will have a big check for presentation. Kidding aside, this dish costs 15SGD or around 573PHP. The size serving of this Crispy Rice Vermicelli is big. As part of it, 4-5 people can share in this dish.

To conclude all the dishes I tried, I love them all. Everything is delicious and cooked so well.

The place is really big, as part of they have seats inside and outside of their restaurants. The staffs also are all accommodating and nice. Some of the can’t understand English so well but some can. So it will not be hard for you to make an order.

For traveler like me that is on budget but still wants to enjoy Singaporean authentic cuisine, I highly recommend this restaurant to you. I hope you can visit them and give me a comment on your experiences.
